OCCUPY SUNSET PARK
The Occupy Wall Street movement is about all of us: Latin@s, Asian Americans, immigrants, people of color and hard working families. Together we are the 99% who are being robbed and cheated by the richest 1% of the population.
Our local communities are in crisis and we have many legitimate needs. Come to this second meeting at Trinity to raise some of these concerns and help us start a local movement to fight for social and economic justice.

THE 5 BOROUGH GENERAL ASSEMBLY WORKING GROUP
(Draft Proposal)
By Sumumba Sobukwe
The 5 Borough General Assembly Working Group represents all General Assemblies within the 5 Boroughs of New York City and seeks to coordinate selected: ACTIONS, EVENTS, MEETINGS, GENERAL ASSEMBLIES AND OUTREACH among those Assemblies to MAXIMIZE participation in each.
This working group seeks to ensure other Occupy Movements within New York City are properly represented within the Occupy Movement.
This working group welcomes and seeks to encourage traditionally marginalized voices and members of all communities to have a say and decision in how they wish to live.
This working group seeks to create and coordinate outreach, direct actions, campaigns and other activities that seek to improve the quality of life of people in all Boroughs.
This working group seeks to unify the Occupy Movement across the city and make sure the power dynamics are not held by just one of its movements.
(Why and how this working group will function)
This working group will also be a part of the Spokes Council and will do report backs, and announcements for City-Wide or Particular events each General Assembly seeks to share with the other GA’s.
This working group is committed to helping create and further facilitate a healthy city wide dialogue and movement that seek to address the concerns of all of its residents.
Point people and others from each General Assembly confers, report backs and brings Items to their respective General Assemblies for discussion, that in turn then they share with this working group as it pertains to planned Actions, Meetings, Outreach and other activities it wants all General Assemblies to be a part of.
This Working Group also seeks to:
Streamline fundraising and communication
issues and the needs relating to them among different Occupations
Locate spaces for City Wide meetings and events for other General Assemblies and events related to the Occupy Movement
Help facilitate dialogue, actions and outreach with other Community Based Organizations, Groups and Movements.
Ensure all community and marginalized voices are represented in the Occupy Movement
Work closely with Occupy Wall Street to achieve social change that will benefit all of New York City and by extension all of America.
Ensure that crucial meetings, actions, events, mobilizations, and/or outreach don’t collide or compete with each other
